Net terms count days from the invoice date to the day payment is due. Net 15 is 15 days. Net 30 is 30 days. Net 60 is 60 days. Due on receipt means you expect payment when the client gets the bill.
Which term to choose
Freelancers who need cash often use due on receipt or Net 15. Agencies and vendors commonly use Net 30 because that matches many finance calendars. Net 60 is a long wait; use it only if you agreed it in the proposal.
Always write a calendar date
“Net 30” alone is easy to misread. Put the due date as 12 November 2026 as well. InvoiceBizz has a due date field for this. Read invoice payment terms explained for deposits and late-fee language.
Match the contract
Do not put Net 15 on the PDF if the signed quote said Net 30. If you need faster payment next time, change the next proposal, not the current invoice.
Set the due date in the InvoiceBizz generator, check the live preview, and send the PDF the day the work is done. See when to send an invoice.
